Alster–Elbe–Bille

Hammerbrook and Rothenburgsort are old industrial quarters of the Hanseatic city. In the last decade, these two districts have undergone severe change. From old refurbished commercial establishments to new opulent office and business complexes, a colourful area has emerged, which now bursts with life. Beautiful relicts from the old times are the historic bridges over the industrial canals, underneath which Alster boats can cruise if the tide is low. Our tour goes through two locks, onto the Elbe to the Billwerder Bucht (Billwerder Bay) and continues onto the Bille to Brandshofer Schleuse (Brandshof Lock) with historic bridges passed under in the process.
